I bricked it for the last time, decided to get another phone instead.
Hopefully what I've posted, which seems to be more than anyone else has, will help others develop something for the Garminfone.

For those of you stuck at the Garmin-asus first loading screen(with the android popping out of the corner). I hate to say it but I think you're bricked, I've been there before, several times in fact, but was luckily under warranty, so I just returned it.
And yeah, sorry. I give up, this damn fone is so easily brickable. Trading in for a little POS Comet... that aught to be interesting.

MontuZ, Well Thank you. You are amazingly smart. I've been researching, and you by far the most advance on this topic. Yes, me too, have the phone that stuck on the android logo (that's why I started reading to begin with). I'm not even started tinkering with the phone at all, it just happened one night after GPS use. :(

Thanks, Raweez. I don't believe I am the most advanced, I just took the time to compile and test all the guides and information and put it together here in one place.
Anyway, If you're stuck there, then you're probably in need of a replacement. It sucks but that's thanks to Garmin and Asus locking down that device and not providing any way to unlock it.
As much as that sucks, your best bet, go get a $50 prepaid phone if you're not under any warranty and put your SIM card in it. Start saving money for another phone or if you're not a big fan of t mobile(like myself now) just switch to another carrier!

Hi,
I know this phone seems not many people using it. But I have one.
Can you tell me how do I get this phone fresh with entire ROM to version that available in overseas. I like the Hong Kong and Taiwan version, I see there are updates about this phone to version V5.5.86, my phone currently running V5.0.73 with os2.1 version. But my country has stop updating this phone very pitty.
I am not sure can I just down load new software version from Taiwan and flash it to change my A50 completely to different version? I like multi language interface too, so my current one only have English. Very bad.
Thanks,
